Meet The Team

Over the last 12 years, I worked in a variety of different mental health settings with children, teens and adults. I specializes in trauma, anxiety, family/interpersonal conflict.

It is my passion to help others tap into their inherent strengths and uncover their true potential. My goal as a therapist is to join you on your current journey, help you build on your strengths and assist with the development of new skills that will sustain you when our time is complete.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches to support my clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Attachment Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These frameworks allow me to tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, with a focus on healing from trauma, understanding emotional patterns, and fostering deeper self-awareness and connection.

Karen Kane, LCSW

Therapist

For over 30 years, Karen has provided compassionate and evidence-based care. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and her license in Clinical Social Work. Her work experience settings include outpatient treatment facilities and hospitals. She is passionate about understanding the unique needs of each client and developing personalized treatment plans that integrate psychotherapy, medication management in conjunction with clients’ physicians, and other evidence-based interventions.

 

Karen is a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. She specializes in anxiety, depression, stress, couples conflicts, parenting issues, executive functioning, teens, adolescents, and children. Karen employs a comprehensive range of treatment modalities to support mental health and emotional well-being. Her approaches include evidence-based psychotherapies such
as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem Solving strategies, and Effective Communication Skills. In addition to individual therapy, she provides couples counseling, emphasizing communication enhancement and relationship building. To promote holistic wellness, Karen also integrates Mindfulness techniques, Stress Management strategies, and Relaxation techniques tailoring interventions to meet each client's unique needs and objectives. This multifaceted approach aims to foster resilience, improve coping skills, and enhance overall quality of life.
