Frequently Asked Questions

We provide anxiety therapy in New Jersey for teens, adults, and couples. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or looking to improve your relationships, our goal is to help you feel more calm, confident, and connected.

Getting Started

How does virtual therapy work?

Sessions are held through a HIPAA-compliant video platform, similar to Zoom but designed for healthcare.

You’ll:

  • Receive a private link before your session

  • Join from your phone, tablet, or computer

  • Meet with your therapist in real time

Many clients find virtual therapy to be just as effective as in-person sessions, with added convenience and flexibility.

Do you offer therapy in New Jersey?

Yes. We provide virtual therapy to clients across New Jersey, including teens, adults, and couples. As long as you are physically located in NJ at the time of your session, you can meet with your therapist from the comfort of your home.

What happens in the first therapy session?

Your first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you in. We go at your pace and what feels comfortable to you.

We’ll explore:

  • Your current challenges

  • Your goals for therapy

  • Any relevant background

How long are therapy sessions and how often do I attend?

Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes and are usually scheduled weekly, especially at the beginning.

As progress is made, sessions may become less frequent depending on your needs.

Cost & Insurance

Do you accept insurance?

We work with select insurance plans. Please reach out to confirm whether we accept your specific provider, including plans such as Aetna, Cigna, or Horizon BCBS of New Jersey.

How much does therapy cost in New Jersey?

The cost of therapy can vary depending on your insurance and specific plan.

We recommend:

  • Contacting us to verify your benefits

  • Asking about out-of-pocket costs or copays

We’re happy to help you understand your coverage before getting started.

Is therapy covered by insurance for anxiety?

In many cases, yes. Most insurance plans cover therapy for anxiety and related concerns.

Coverage depends on your individual plan, so we can help you verify your benefits before your first session.

What is Out-of-Network and Private Pay?

Out-of-network or private pay options allow you more flexibility and privacy with your care. You can usually start therapy sooner, as there is no wait time for insurance approval. Some insurance plans can limit the number of sessions you have; private pay affords you more control over your care.

Anxiety Therapy

Is online therapy effective for anxiety?

Yes—virtual therapy is highly effective for anxiety. For many people, being in their own environment actually helps them open up more comfortably.

What types of therapy do you use for anxiety?

We primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs.

This therapy helps clients:

  • Reduce overthinking and constant worry

  • Feel more calm and in control

  • Build practical tools to manage anxiety in daily life

How do I know if I need therapy for anxiety?

You don’t have to wait until things feel “severe.” Many clients start therapy simply because they want to feel better and more in control.

You may benefit from therapy:

  • Anxious thoughts are interfering with your daily life

  • You are constantly overthinking or stressed

  • These thoughts are impacting relationships, sleep, or work

  • Feeling hard to manage on your own
